Short step-by-step guides to get the most out of Visual Peptide. Start with Peptide Properties for any sequence, then use Recon & Dosing for concentration and syringe planning, and the 3D viewer for structure export.
- Peptide Properties (MW, pI, GRAVY, charge)
Enter a 1- or 3-letter sequence; get molecular weight, isoelectric point, GRAVY, charge at pH 7.4, and synthesis difficulty. Add N/C-terminal modifications and download a PDF report for lab or publication. Use this before reconstitution to get accurate MW for the Recon & Dosing Calculator. Export options: Export formats.
- Reconstitution & Dosing Calculator
Set peptide mass (mg), diluent volume (mL), and target dose (mcg). Get concentration (mg/mL), volume to draw, and syringe units (0.3 / 0.5 / 1 mL). Use Syringe Planner to see the fill line; use Vial & Cycle for days per vial and vials per cycle. Full workflow: Guide: Concentration & dose.
- Sequence to 3D (3D Viewer)
Load a PDB ID (e.g. from RCSB) or generate a Cα chain from sequence in the viewer. Rotate (drag), zoom (scroll), measure, export PDB or PNG, and copy citation. For your own file use PDB Upload; for disulfide bonds use Disulfide Bond Viewer. See Export formats for PDB, PNG, and citation.
- Sequence Analyzer (Batch Analysis)
Paste multiple sequences (one per line); get a table with composition, hydrophobicity, and key properties. Download the table as CSV or generate a ZIP of PDF reports (one per sequence). Use for screening sets or comparing peptides. See Batch Analysis Export for how to run batch export.
- Purity & Verify
Check third-party purity reports (e.g. Janoshik) by entering a Task ID. Use before or after sourcing to verify peptide identity and purity. See the Guide: Purity section for context.
